Description
“X” is a technical film with no orange mask that gives beautiful warm toned and highly saturated pictures that recall the first colour negative film of the 40’s & 50’s. It offers the possibility to process it in both C41 (negative) or E6 (slide) process.
Washi X is a re-spooled Kodak Aerocolor IV color negative film that delivers exceptional results. Originally designed for aerial photography and reconnaissance, Washi X is a medium-speed film with fine grain and excellent acuity. Its wide exposure latitude and natural colour rendition make it ideal for use in daylight conditions.
Washi X employs a T-Grain emulsion that produces enhanced sharpness and resolution, allowing for high-resolution scanning. It also features 30nm-longer red sensitivity than previous aerial films, resulting in increased haze penetration and foliage reproduction. Additionally, this film offers increased green saturation and lower D-min values for fast printing times.
However, please note that in this version, the film has a tendency to let light travel up the leader and into the first three frames. To avoid this issue, it’s recommended to load the film in low light conditions.
